He is trying to gently let you know that it will hold better with subpar welding if there is a sleeve inside that joint.

More often then not the material rips out from the stresses not the weld. The filler used for welding yeilds a higher tensil strength then the material.

I'm new to the suspension install process.. All went fine but I can't seem to figure out a sound from the left front side sounding like "spare change jingling around" with any little bump in the road. I'm running King coilovers with Resi I bought used from fellow TW member.. they have probably 40k miles on them now (5-10k since I installed). I checked the tightness of my wheel lugs and most connection points behind the wheel. Think the coilovers need a rebuild already? I think I've heard the noise since install at only 30k miles. I don't hear it if window is up or driving higher speeds, but bugging the sh*t outta me. It seems to be a higher pitch sound. The lower sway bar is off and I don't see any other type of rubbing.
Anyway, I hope to join in a meet here soon when I can (and wifey allows).
    Thanks!

I still have absolutely zero clue what you guys are talking about. Which joint? To me a sleeve would be a smaller piece of tubing to go inside the larger piece... is that it? If so, no, I don't have any of whatever size metal that would take, or any idea how I would bend it to a 79* angle to fit in there.

If that's not it, I'll go ahead and assume that whatever it is, I didn't do it.

Cougars and Huskies have a lot in common.

As an example, they both applied to UW.
