When i put my shed in, I trenched from the house and put in a piece of buried romex. I have a GFI outlet and a light socket in the shed. makes it nice to run a battery charger, small compressor or power tools from the shed.

Because it's a buried path with no obstacles and only 25 feet long, I direct buried and only ran 1 inch PVC and elbows only at the ends.

If it was me, I would subfeed out of your existing panel, assuming a 100 amp subfeed is what you are after in your barn. If space is a concern in existing panel, I would change it out to a Square D 40/80 200 amp panel. Reason is this panel has a capacity of 80 single pole circuits. Minus whatever double pole circuits you have, ie; water heater, range..... Oh course your new subfeed circuit to barn only requires two spaces.

I tried for years to get my youngest son do that with me. Sit on the deck in the morning with a cup of coffee and take them through shooting lanes that I had cut. He refused said it was urban hunting so ended up camping and freezing my ass off instead. But still good times being with him.

Talking of generators I have always been aware of Generac Gens. But didn't realize until last week their history. They were founded in 1959 by Robert and Patricia Kern in Waukesha, Wi. Patricia Kern passed away last week. They sold the company in 2006 so it isn't family owned anymore of course. But the couple has donated over $100 million to Mayo Clinic in gifts for furthering Medical research and patient safety.

Yea, I knew guys like that too.
Never sighted in their rifles. Oh, they got a few, but usually they claimed they missed, when they didn't find a blood trail in the first 10 feet.
Once in a while, a few days later, you would come across the half eaten carcass of one of the ones they "missed" a couple hundred yards away.

    Morning all

    Damn dude.

I had this long response to you, but I would rather just say, every state has issues.

I don't come here for arguments

I have a wife for that.

Saw that happen to the biggest buck I have ever seen in my life about 10 years ago down on the Wi. Mn. Iowa border. Was hunting in the bluffs and I saw him when I was still hunting and he was bedded down about 60 yards on the other side of the ravine. It is shotgun only area and I use an inline muzzle loader with a scope but couldn't get what I thought was a clear shot on him. Messed around for more than 2 hours trying to get into position on him and he finally bolted and ran. Heard a bunch of shots a few minutes later on top of the bluff and when I got up there half a dozen guys were standing around talking about shooting at Bullwinkle. I left and shouldn't have they never tracked him. Week later found him bloated over the edge of the bluff. Some of my friends that were hunting with me took turns taking pictures with him. I couldn't the whole thing made me sick to my stomach. And I knew deep down that I should have waited to see what the guys that shot at him did, but didn't because I was pissed that I had pushed him to them.

Good morning all, had my coffee. Got to finish cutting grass, got 1/2 cut before work yesterday. Out to eat with group of neighbors tonight. Focus will be on Tom and Sandy, Tom passed away yesterday from Parkinson. Worried about stepson in Sarasota FL. Too much going on. Next week bow hunting starts. With all the chat about generators I should get mine out and start it, try to it once a month. Now out to garden dig carrots. ya my dogs like carrots also.

I am all for do for yourself and such but everyone of these folks in this article are ...idiots! It is a long article but everyone one of them is aware of how much damage a storm like this can do and yet are willing to roll the dice with their own lives and their families lives. There has been so much warning there is no reason to take the risk .

I of the opinion if you are told to evac and don't you are on your own I would not risk first responders lives because you think you can beat mother nature.

Maybe the seconds can be used for apple sauce. We have many friends and relatives who like our apples. No problem getting them used up.

    Stolen from : On Facebook:}

"I support a mosque being built anywhere in the US. I think it should be the goal of every American to be tolerant regardless of their religious beliefs. To promote tolerance, I would also propose that two nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque. We could call one of the clubs, which would be gay, The Turban Cowboy and the other, a topless bar, would be called You Mecca Me Hot. Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork and across the street, an open-pit barbecue pork restaurant, called Iraq of Ribs. We could have a lingerie store called Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret and a liquor store called Morehammered. All of this would encourage Muslims to demonstrate the tolerance they demand of us. Yes we should promote tolerance, and you can do your part by part by passing this on. Lmao"
