So I really like the look of the soft top and decided to go with the Bestop. I ordered it from Amazon and it came the same day! It was kind of a pain to install, but so far I'm lovin it :)

I'm sorry to hear that man! :/ do u have any advice on how I can secure it any better? I pushed it forward to close the gap between the cab to prevent some air from getting in between. I'm not sure if it actually works but I think it's worth a try.

Also, did u ever bring it to a drive-thru car wash? How stable is it against the brushes and Air-dryer?

No I never ran mine through a car wash. I only wash by hand, but I have seen people w soft toppers etc go through car washes. I would be more hesitant with the plastic windows in the Besttop especially as the plastic gets older and more brittle. For security, I would add 2 more of the c-clamps and check the tightness on ALL clamps about once a month or so to keep on tightly. God speed hope this helps!

Word of advice, do not remove the sides in temperatures below 75 degrees. You will rip your finger tips apart trying to get them back on. The fabric becomes insanely stiff and non-forgiving. Ask me how I know, haha.

Can confirm it's a nightmare in the cold. I really only took my sides off twice, once in fall and once in spring. Much easier when everything is warm.

How is the fit on the Bestop? They don't make a 3rd gen specific model and I've heard that it doesn't exactly match the bed dimensions and sticks up somewhat.

You're the 3rd person I've heard of this happening to with the Bestop...crazy. When I installed my Softtopper I had that fear of it flying off my truck on the back of my mind every time I drove on the highway in heavy winds....fortunately it never happened. Don't really worry about it anymore.

Looks real sharp OP, I love the utilitarian look of soft tops on these trucks much more than hard shells.
