Holy crap...saw a photo of the freeway down there and it was the same way

 

If you have snapchat you can zoomout while on your camera screen and check out all the snaps from the people hanging out down in the Keys still.

That and all the public webcams are going to be interesting to watch for the next few days.

 

May want to keep an eye on Jose. The projected path has it making a tight curl to the east, but it could potentially loop back west...

Showing we are going to get 40-50 mph winds with gusts up to 70 mph. Under tropical storm watch till 6pm on the 12th.

 

My wife's niece is riding the storm out at the Conservancy of SW Florida in Naples. Looks like it's gonna be ground zero.

 

The building she's in was built to withstand 160mph winds, but it's the storm surge we're worried about.

Slow over warm water too. Sounds like intensification is very likely.

 

Yeah, but they were also expecting a more eastward track. The farther west it goes, the longer the core gets to intensify before hitting land again.

 

I'm surprised this cam has power when the streetlights and other building lights keep cutting in and out...
