    Here's the new Truck!
    I'm now on my 3rd Toyota due to the Frame rust Recall issue.:(
    Thanks to all of you who post this fantastic Taco info!
    I'm off for a week & cant wait to try some of the Mod's I've read about.
    I've already de-baged & re-baged with TRD emblems from ebay
    Replaced the stock shift knob w/ a TRD knob
    tore out the stock speakers & replaced w/ Pioneer
    Ordered URD short throw shifter (thx Gadget!)
    Much more to come!

    i had gotten a letter in the mail regarding mine. i took it 2 yrs ago and it passed. then brought it in for a service 4 months ago and said they tested it and it failed. im sure you can bring it in to a dealer and they'll test it for you if you have any concerns.

    The recall was for Frame rust on 95-01 Tacomas - That includes all models. There's a TON of info on this site about it. Toyota bought back my ride for $11,970.00
    It was 11 years old & had over 173K on it (but it still looked good:cool:)
    I actually found this forum when I was researching the issue a few weeks back.

    Well before I got my windows tinted they were see through all the way around, and I had to get mine done all the way around. Mine was $160 all the way around and $10 for the strip on the front. I believe I got screwed because some friends of mine made some sacrifices and drove the extra time to get their's done for only $100! You'll just have to look around where you live, and call places, and be willing to sacrifice the extra mileage to get it cheaper. Wish I would have! :( But for you I would say that I would like in the ball park for around 60-85 dollars, shouldn't be too terribly bad. Just call a lot of places and get prices. I called around like 5 places and went with the closest people, just be ready to make a sacrifice if you have to!:cool:
