I have a 2001 v6 trd dc with moderate front end damage - everything works but need hood, grille, fenders, bumper, lights, etc. Found an 02 Toyota Tacoma 2wd 4cyl for sale cheap and thought of using it as a parts car. Can anyone tell me if the parts will be compatible? I am hoping to just pull them off and bolt them on mine after painting...
    Thanks, Mountain Goat

As long as that 2 wheel drive is not a 5 lug Tacoma, the parts are the same.

I can't remember when the grills changed, but if your front end and the donor truck look the same, the parts will fit just fine.

For the parts mentioned, it should all be the same regardless of 2wd/prerunner/4wd. The fenders won't have flares though if it's a 5-lug.

The bumpers might be different on 5 lug vs. 6 lug. They were for 95.5-00.

Didn't know that... good to know! What's different between the 5 lug vs 6 lug bumpers?

I think the 5 lug bumpers have different mounts and have higher clearance since they're closer to the ground.

Go here and look up your truck and down at the bottom left it will tell you what trucks it fits. https://partsfactory.camelbacktoyota.com/
Like here for a fender it doesn't specify 5 lug or 6 lug. Only with or without flare https://partsfactory.camelbacktoyot...jb21hJnk9MjAwMSZ0PWJhc2UmZT0zLTRsLXY2LWdhcw==

Closer scrutiny showed that at least the fenders were different. Found a different one, 2001 v6 4wd like mine but ext. Cab not dc like mine. What do the experts think - will the front end parts match?
If I van figure out how to post pictures I will...
    Thanks,
    MG

According to Toyota sight with or without flares 2001-2004 is the only difference. https://partsfactory.camelbacktoyot...0/?c=aT04NTEwMTE1NSZyPWxheWVyXzEmYT10b3lvdGE=

Go to that web page and bottom left of page will tell you what it fits.
