I bought it at the local hardware store. Some mild steel. Not sure what wall off the top of my head? I think it’s 1/2” diameter.

I think I heard about the one @Wyoming09 mentioned. I’ll look for the one @stairgod mentioned too

Need to make some transmission mount brackets for the FJ40 so got to play with a couple tools. Tested out the Lotos plasma cutter. So far all i had used it for was cutting up an old BBQ and a couple brackets so it was interesting to use. Had the choice of either 10 gauge or 1/4". Went with the 1/4"...just cause I wanted to test things. The plasma cutter wasnt adjusted correctly airflow wise so it wasnt a very clean cut...or very straight as i free handed it. The other cuts were much cleaner...and worked better. But like anything the first real time using a new tool is never perfect!

I also finally got to use the Swag Off-road press break. 1/4" was definitely starting to push the limits of the 20ton air jack to get to 90 degrees. But it worked great. Bends arent a perfect 90 degrees but I was just eye balling it.

The aluminum gate I built back in June...I think. Came back from the powder coating and got installed. Present owner is extremely happy.

He better be, I didn't charge him to build the thing:)

    Materials were supplied.

I'll get some compensation in the future. I don't need the money. The delay was the installation. Its been coated a while.

Job I did early this summer. Remove drilling rig from tracked machine, build a flat bed, and mate them all together.IMG_2258.jpg IMG_7756.jpg IMG_7763.jpg

Esab Rebel 215ic another made in China welder.

Designed in the USA Assembled in China

I can`t wait to see how long it takes for Parts

Lincoln Tig 200 so far we have installed @ 150 new Power Modules which means take the case off install everything new.

These seem to be mostly loss of High frequency

As these are marketed towards the hobby user they don`t like being used on 208VAC (just a little under the 10%) that one encounters in some industrial areas

I know you aren't a fan of the Chinese stuff but curious if you have had any experience with the AHP AlphaTIG 200X? I know its not going to be as good a Hobart/miller but for just a garage guy it seems attractive and seems to get good reviews.

When you connect it to 208V does it think you're using 120V or 240V? Curious why you're not using 120V, which you get with a 208V Y-connected leg against its neutral (if it's not delta and you have one). If you need the full power from the TIG 200 then you'd need a real 240V circuit I'd think. It may be killing them because it thinks you have 240V and the IGBTs aren't being driven to completely turn off. It could also be just a weakness in the design (which is troubling since I have the same machine). BTW, there's about 25% less power in a 208V circuit compared to a 240V.

We just install the new Power Modules for Lincoln I think we get $200.00 a machine.

They come to us after they have been replaced

People seem to buy them for a Cheap Field Tig welder why Cheap

Drag it to different plants no idea of the voltage .

No Tig 200`s yet but it is only a matter of time till someone plugs it into 460VAC

It is not that I don`t Like China Products it is the complete lack of Tech Support and Parts

Since We don`t see these machines I don`t get a chance to test drive them.
