You should just call them or face time them. Traffic is going to be a bitch.

Probably the last time I'll ever see my grandpa and maybe even my dad. I have Tuesday through Saturday to see family before I go pick up Ryan to help with the driving.

I FaceTime my dad, and grandparents that live in Denmark every weekend for this reason. I at least get to see them, and they get to see the baby and us, keeps that memory fresh vs. couple year gaps of seeing them last.

:rofl:My friend who lives in Naples is a goofball. We use a VoIP server to play video games together with a bunch of other nerds and he connects on his cell phone.

    [WIND NOISES]
"I'm standing outside in the Hurricane!"
    [WIND NOISES]
"My phone keeps getting wet it's fine tho-(disconnects)

A little bit later he reconnects after having come back inside. Apparently the eye is going to go right over him, large enough that it's going to be an hour or so of no rain.

Got to do do it then. All of my family and my wife's family is in Miami. They are all ok but sounds like a lot of clean up for n the next few weeks.

I'm at my place til Tuesday morning when I turn in keys. My buddy bought almost all of my furniture including my bed. He's supposed to pick up the last item/bed today. I got camping gear and I don't care about sleeping on a floor. Lol.

Coming home is always the hard part of vacations.

So far my dads house has a palm tree that crashed thru the roof and attic, so lots of water pouring into the house, and then of course lots of flooding. Kind of getting text here and there so not a ton of details. Not even sure if this was just an approaching storm or the main part yet even.

My friend in Naples is the owner of a big name gun store down there, someone gave him a one star review on yelp because he wouldn't let them take shelter inside.

Because he wouldn't let a stranger
    unsupervised
    in a closed store
    full of guns

He told me the eye has already passed over him. They lost power after the eye was long gone, and the winds were actually calming back down to "only 30 mph". Dunno if he got power back yet.
