Hey guys, so I finally convinced my sister to start building up her 2006 PreRunner TRD 4.0. She's a teacher for special needs and autistic children and with that does have much money to spend on upgrades.

I was throwing a line out to see if any of you second gen guys had any old stuff laying in your garage that you could go without or just need to clean. I would like to help her get out there on some trails with the rest of us and be able to really enjoy her truck.

So if you guys have anything that you'd like to help us out it would be appreciated. Anything helps.

    Thanks guys!

    Pic for attention

If she wants to hit the trails the first thing she has to do is dump those side steps.

Yeah I know. She keeps them on normally (even though I hate them) so she can get my grandmother in her truck. She has a bad knee. Lol they're god awful aren't they

They're ugly for sure. lol However, on a trail they can actually cause damage to the vehicle if they get caught on a rock/obstacle.

I guess the other aspect to consider is whether grandma has to ride with her routinely and whether they necessity should prevent her from modifying the truck.

Yeah I understand the clearance issue. I took her to a small OHV area and we took them off. I don't see it being an issue as I just keep a step stool in my truck for my grandmother. They just came with the truck so she just leaves them on normally. But she doesn't like them either.

To be honest. Anything that would be better than stock (since her truck is bone stock besides her headunit). Wether it's asthetics, suspension, gear, armor, I mean really anything.

If grandmother getting in and out of the truck is an issue then a lift is out of the question.

I have a set of collapsible steps I keep in the bed and she gets in and out of my truck just fine. But yeah, let's just say she won't have a 6 inch lift on 37s
