New. 49 miles on it. I removed the decals.

I can post up the bill of sale if you need me to. I have no reason to lie, but I understand your point of view, this being TW and all...

If you need a truck shop for a used example that you can pay for with the z.

School, housing are all more valuable than debt on a depeciating item.

Used sr5 4x4. 2011s go for $17k or so. The touch screen and a sliding window on the 2017 doesn't help it OR any better. Good thing is if you ever decided to go new down the line, you'll already own your truck outright by then and you'll know what your real budget is after you bought your house.

Not to mention maintained tacomas sell like hot cakes. Good luck OP

Keep what you have. But buy a used pickup of some kind to get around in. Just so you own something that has a bed on it.

You've been even driving a Z for the last 8 years, you deserve a new car. Seriously, with good credit, 15k down on even the most fully loaded OR puts you at less than 400 a month. Fuck what everyone else says do it if it makes you happy

Depends on what's (really) important to you.
First you have school, a job your trying to move up in.
So when you say your planning to go off-roading a lot ! What is realistically a lot ?
    Work , school etc...
Then you want a house ? That's a lot of up keep, or a lot of money having someone else do the upkeep .
But sounds like you work hard for your money, so get what you want. I doubt if you buy the sr5 your going to find the $$$ to lock it etc...
If you go TRD offroad , maybe you will be satisfied with it for long enough before the Mod big hits :)
Get one without the tech pkg and you will be lower 32-35k range .
Depending on where your at I can set you up with a dealer for a deal. PM me.
Go 72 months max as 84 is too long and payments are not low enough to justify.
if you have 15k down , put 10k down and bank the other 5k for a rainy day or for DP on new house.
    Good luck

Every person I know with a good job who is struggling financially felt they 'deserved' everything they went into debt for. And it's not a short list.

When we were looking to buy a house, our realtor, who was also a family friend, have us great advice to not make any major purchases for at least 6 months to a year before to keep our credit line up and avoid any questions from our underwriter. our credit was high 700's then but he told us still, to watch it. he said specifically: no new car. We heeded that advice and got the lowest finance rates at the time.

I'd say just wait. 15k on a house goes a long way compared to 15k on a car.

That's smart!.. sounds like something My pops would say. He drove the ugliest beat down car he found back in the 70s. Saved up some cash and bought property after property. He said everyone would joke about his car. The mans never paid rent since but always lived within his means. We had 1 hiccup in our life, my sister became very ill and unfortunately passed away many years ago. A lot, and I mean A lot of money was wasted throughout that time. But because he had no loans, payments, nor owed any money we were able to stay afloat and push forward. I was a kid, but definitely a vivid memory and a good reminder that anything can happen to you both in life and financially.

    Very true.
You guys think there would be some decent sales later in the year like December?

Also, the SR doesn't come in 4x4? I was on the toyota site and couldn't find the option.

My mortgage company didn't have a problem with me buying a brand new truck 2 months before buying a house. :notsure:

Having a good credit score and low(er) credit/debt ratio is what they are looking for.
