E-torx is the correct tool, however grab two normal nuts that fit the studs and use the double nut trick to pull them, easier I think since e-torx is weak and rounds easily

Do you mean put 2 new nuts on the stud and basically try backing the first one out against the second one? I don't think there's enough threads on the stud, I'll go out and get an etorx this week, I heated the thing almost red and tried using vice grips and tried beating the one side with a screw driver and hammer but it wouldn't budge. Gonna let it sit in some pb blaster and try that acetone mix too

Your pulling the headers off right, I used the double nut to pull my studs and install new ones and it worked great

Do you mean just with an empty stud? I still didn't get the first nut off that's holding the header on and the threads on the stud are barely enough for 1 extra nut on the end. I just wanted to try to pull the stud since the nut is rounded off

Not yet. It's a really slow build. still acquiring parts and doing more research. found the truck I wanted after I had to sell my last taco and then things just kept falling into place parts wise. just work to much to be able to get it done. probably wont be done till next fall.

Oh okay, didn't know the nit was rounded, sadly with a rounded nut there is still a lot of clamping force so more than likely the e-torx that is only designed to hold the pressure of installing the stud will probably shear off. Maybe you could heat or cut the nut off first to relieve the tension then change the studs.

ah alright, Im thinking of maybe trying a nut splitter, really don't know what else to do since I already tried heating it and everything.

Been at it hard today... Installing the green trucks steering rack tonight maybe putting the green trucks spindle on then maybe I'll put more of the engine wiring and components in. Gotta make it to "The Tour"

Did the steering rack bushings too, man that's an easy job if they aren't in the truck.

Those headlights are FOF! Can you see with them at night? Or do you just use your light bar instead? I took my light bar above the windshield off because of so much glare. I even Raptor lined my hood. What's your solution for the glare? Prop up the light bar more? I tried that, but the the heat sinks on the back of the light bar started to hit the roof.

Tig weld a nut to it. Soak it in kroil or the mixture above, give it some whacks with a hammer and use a impact to back it out.

Replaced my FUBAR headlights and corner lights with some cheap flea bay lights. Sealed them up with silicone and hoping for the best. The output is sooooo much better.

    Before

    And after.

Wasn't overly impress with the blinkers in the corner lights last time, plan to install some little leds on the bumper.
