Trying to get my 2001 to pass smog. Says the catalyst and evap is "not ready". I know it's to hot for the evap but any suggestions on how to get the catalytic converter to read? No codes. No check engine lights. Tried doing drive cycles and still won't pass. Any suggestions or anyone know a smog place that will pass it with 2 "not ready"s

You might try disconnecting the battery and then drive about 75-100 miles before getting it smogged.

New guy in Vegas. Looking for recommendations for a good shop on the west side. About time for timing belt and water pump on the first gen, and a few other things. Also about ready to order up some suspension parts and looking for someone to do the install. I just don't have the time for this stuff anymore.
    Cheers.

Dh customs in henderson does suspension installs and I believe cmc as well. Great honest guy and his pricing is cheap for installs.

Might try contacting MCM fab too. Or post on the Vegas FJ Cruisers Facebook page. I'm sure somebody on there with a welder would be willing to help.

Like most places it can be a little clickish but that's to be expected. They have done a lot of work on it the past few years so the facilities have really improved. If you just want to shoot for some fun it's easier to go out to the desert and enjoy. If you want to shoot a particular discipline like 3 gun or precision rifle that it is pretty good.
