I bet with enough bracing it would be doable. Could you imagine closing your tailgate though with two full jerry cans and that holder? That's like 100 lbs right there!

Yeah it would suck. You could make a bracket that bends over the tailgate to hold it there and remove it at camp?

Well that's an interesting idea...basically it'd rest on top of the tailgate, and maybe bolt in place with some rivnuts. You'd need a tailgate skin though like mobtowns.

Exactly. With some sort of bolt or quick disconnect on the inside to take off but you couldn't steal from outside, it would free up room. But probably more work than its worth

Yeah, definitely a lot of work. Neat idea though! I was thinking about mounting my can on the roof rack somehow, but with the RTT I'll have enough weight up there as it is. I'll stick to keeping it in the bed until I get a rear bumper.

There are mounts for the front of the rack you could use!

I could definitely get it up there, but then that's another 40-45 lbs or so up top, and I don't want to push it!

That's what I'm looking for right now, but this popped up. I was joking last time that we could use one of these. Instead, 4 of us took 30 minutes with an axe to cut off a chunk if 14" diameter tree.

PERFECT. I see nothing wrong with that plan.
