So I've had my hi-lift jack mounted inside the bed up in the front to a set of brackets for a little while now. Since going on a few camping trips recently, it started to dawn on me that it may be a PIA to get to if the bed is loaded up with supplies etc. So I decided to make my own mount so I could attach the hi-lift to the existing roof rack I have. Here's what I came up with. I think it came out really well.

"Today" actually being yesterday..... Got home from work and did a NASCAR pit stop quality tire rotation. Swapped em in 20 minutes counting time to get out floor jack, jack stands, and 18v impact.

Oil change mileage due middle of this week. Hurricane Irma rain due tues/wed, so oil change happened a few days early.

I've been hearing something rub on hard left turns. Found that. Rubber splash guard hitting sidewall of left tire. The plastic anchor fell out. Fixed that.

Consumed several cold beers in the process.

Fixed pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad, and bread pudding...sat on tailgate and ate that.

    THE END!

Yeah I'm on the fence about it too. I like it without but at the same time I like it with hahaha I've thought about going back over it with the paint of the Texas flag so that the Tacoma lettering is more flush and hidden.

I haven't had it 24 hrs yet but I like it. I need the versatility of being able to drop it and haul taller stuff. This thing gets used like a truck and if I need to haul something bigger it's nice to know I can

Instal was... Ok lol Mobtowns instructions were a bit outdated but I was able to work through it. I also broke some bumper clips because I'm a dumbass and forgot to remove a bolt.

Really appreciate it. Been wanting a rack for a while, just the starting point of layout had me stumped / putting it off.

Decided to pick up this Leer Aluminum Contractor cap, for $500 I figured I'd give it a shot. Much cheaper than the fiberglass ones and it has shelves on the sides. I think the shelves will be really nice for keeping tools for trail-side repairs within reach.

Test fit ifs skid this morning. I wasn't sure if oil drain hole would line up since I cut hole for a 2.7 but it did so a little anti seize on the bolts later and it's on. I'll have to cut out the 2" I added to the trans skid to get it to fit. I also still have the sliders to get on.

Man I am the same way when it comes to any of my vehicles. Battery died Saturday and I got it started enough to get my grandma, mom, and myself to Autozone and my mom couldn't understand why I didn't let them install it since they do it for free. Told her the guy was lucky to hook up his battery tester without me doing it for him.
