We crossed the Mississippi awhile ago. We are now officially out of the west.

 

I took some courses at CCD but they where college credit and not as cheap as those prices.

 

I know Denver had one years ago (5+) but I haven't heard or seen anything about it recently.

 

Yeah, just seems like a great idea in this day and age of small lot manufacturing and developing manufacturing skills (the classes).

Basically an open workshop of everything Metal, Wood, Artisan concepts and 3D printing.

 

The one I remember, at the time had a couple welders, a plasma cutter, and an old Bridgeport that was super wobbly. They mostly catered to the "art" community so there was lots of basket weaving classes and shit like that, they may have had an old Craftsman toolbox with some sockets as well. A workshop like the one in the link would be awesome for people though, if I can hit one of these Powerballs I will add it to the list of things to do

 

yeah I recall a machine shop doing this on the side. but if I remember right they got in serious trouble cause people where finishing 80% AR lowers lol

 

We have one up here in Loveland. No welders AFAIK but a CNC, mill, presses, etc.
