    Sorry to hear. Bernie will be 6 in November and Sedona will turn 5 in February. My aunt came for a visit and asked " how long will these dogs live?" It was in my opinion a crap question but Dindi is old.
    Still it made me think....
    I hope you get another friend soon.
    I'm not typically sentimental, but losing a friend like yours is a hard thing. Maybe it's time for a new buddy ?

    It can be hard but every time I get puppy it's amazing. I waited 3-4 yrs before I was ready to get a new puppy after my last dog passed after 19 yrs. Today I'm at my new pups first vet visit for his heart worm perscription.

    I temporarily took the door off the crate, and draped a blanket over it so it was more cavelike, and my various dogs all happily would get in it to nap, and chill.

    my current yellow lab stopped going in her crate after my sons dog spent a couple months here and 'took it'. once he'd spent a few nights in it, she wouldn't go near a crate again.

    We had to put our beloved Lucygirl down to rest today.

    It was the best 14 years I could have asked for in a four legged friend. She was truly a member of our family.

    Life will not be the same. She got us through many difficult times.

    My heart is broken but I am happy to know she is at peace.
