The only difference in the seats between the SR trim and TRD trims is the fabric...

    Really?

That's interesting as there is a huge difference in my 2015 base model seats and the seats in a TRD for sure.

    You lucky dogs!

I jumped in that boat and did not like it. Trust me, I downgraded from a TRD 4d manual to a SR AC 4cyl manual. PM me if you want info on both.

Did you install the keyless entry yourself? Was there instructions? I was thinking of just getting a Viper alarm as another alternative to getting the oem keyless option as it will work with the truck because it already has power door locks.

Yes I installed it myself. There were full instructions included in the box and available online as well. Check them out here to get an idea of the install before purchasing: https://d354nuoz4t18d4.cloudfront.n...32901_16ta_TOYOTA_MCDONOUGH.pdf?cb=1505062354

I am very happy with the system so far. I personally don't ever feel like I will need the LCD display with 2-way communication like the viper systems have now. The simple lock/unlock button is all I need.

Thanks for the link. It's exactly what I need. This is very similar to a basic 1-way Viper alarm with the exception of Viper siren.

If you already know you aren't going to run it into the ground (so resale comes into play) the TRD will fetch more. On the other hand, there are not that many SRs out there so for somebody wanting the "simplicity" of the 4cyl without a ton of electronics you'll likely have to deal with less hagglers.

Really it's up to whether or not the 4cyl can do enough for you. All the electronic extras are nice, but not needed.

$25,100 is a great price if that figure is accurate. MSRP for an AC 4x4 auto is $28,563 and invoice is $27,327. For an AC 4x4 manual, MSRP is $27,493 but don't know the exact invoice but it's gotta be a little above $26K. Even with the $500 rebate Toyota offered during labor day in the Southwest Region, I have not seen any dealership offer an SR 4x4 with over $2K in discounts which would likely be below any invoice and dealer holdbacks.

I got my 2017 SR AC 4x4 5 speed with convenience package for 25800 plus tax back in April. Had to go to Jacksonville Fl. to get it. Dealers in my area couldn't get one. They had 3 on the lot at that time.

I have around 50 miles of experience so far but it sits noticeably higher, seems to keep to a lower RPM when driving casually, may need a bit more pedal to get moving quickly off the line but is good and steady once going. I still have my full turning radius. It is a bit stiffer. I find myself taking curves slower because the tire is less likely to shape to the curve and is taller but I am just starting to get used to it so it may be me just being cautious. I haven't noticed any road noise or vibrations. I'm pretty satisfied with it as of now though and don't plan on regearing.

Thoughts on this SR5 pricing? Midwest area where these are diamonds in the rough since everyone buys the sport/OR.

    16 SR5 AC - 60K miles with convenience pkg @ $21K. thanks!

I'm hoping I get that for my '16, SR5, access cab, 2WD, 4 cylinder next year if I trade it in. Have just over 6400 miles on it now.
