May not be the appropriate place to ask, but I'm almost always inappropriate, so....

What brand/type/size tires do you run on the Supra?

Somewhat curious about a form of motorsports I've never been around....

Right now we are running Nitto NT01 235/45/17 up front and Achillies ATR Sport 235/45/17 in the rear. The Nittos are a competition tire and have fantastic grip for steering control. The Achillies are a cheap tire but have good grip and last awhile. We get 10+ runs on our local course out of a brand new pair.

You answered my next question without me needing to ask.... I was wondering if there was any tire stagger to help turn. Guess not. Same size both sides in rear....

Yeah because grip in drifting is not what some may think. Visually it's the lack of grip in the rear but factually it's about having grip and manipulating that grip and figuring out how to use it. You may be surprised how much control a well setup drift car has. You want the front super grippy for steering input and predictability. If you've ever experienced excessive understeer then you know it can be an "oh shit" thing. That's when people end up driving straight into brick walls. Haha

When I was racing dirt bikes, I tried flat track and ice racing. Both were all about learning throttle control and hanging the ass end out in turns. Different discipline, but I would imagine somewhat the same concept. Steer with the throttle.

Single biggest trick was having the gonads to do it the first time!

I surprisingly know the number of days until then as well.

For different reasons though. Something of mine should be ready for some chopping down prolly the weekend after. May have to cut a branch off early for the wheelinz.

This is my home off-road Park. My girlfriend lives on the road that leads to the park. The owner (Tom, who owns Tom's 4x4 currently has her banned because she quit working for him) bull shit reason, I know. There is more to the story that I will not reveal to the open public. Regardless, I know most trails by memory and know anyone in the area that might have parts. If y'all have any questions or need parts, let me know. Gideon, Zack, and Levi all have my number. Depending on how things go, I might end up at AOP this particular weekend. If I own a Tacoma at this time that is not bone stock, I will try to wheel it. If not, I will be in my Cherokee (hopefully I don't own it by then). Either way, y'all will most likely see me. Either on the trail or around the campgrounds, I'm on Ellis Cove Rd every weekend. Hope to have an even better adventure than we did the last time y'all came this way.

Also, let me know where you're coming from so I can point you away from Chattanooga Traffic.

Forgot to add that if any of y'all are around Chattanooga this weekend, Mountain View Off-Road (formerly Ringgold Off-Rodad) is having a benefit Off-Road/Classic Car show this weekend (9/16) for the Dalton Police, Fire Department, and EMS. Let me know if you are in the area or shoot me a message if you decide to show up. I'll be at the Mountain View Off-Road booth and checking out whatever rolls through, as my girlfriend is the new Sales Manager for Mountain View Off-Road.
