    I saw an 88 toyota pickup, had the 3.0 auto, locking hubs with a sale sign on it. Went over to investigate and the seller wants 7k for it. If it was cheap and manual, i might've considered it for a beater offroader, but not at that price. Plus who knows what condition it was in.

    That sounds about right. When I was still in NM, I was looking online at old Toyotas for a beater 4x4 truck to wheel. There wasn't anything under 5k and most were beat to shit.

    For a 30 year old truck, i wouldnt pay that much for. I did love the manual hubs, but i have heard the 3.0 is very underpowered. And i could only imagine how bad the auto makes it. Still, having a pre-taco would be awesome.
