Spacers=bad(at least not good)

Tech and an hour long YouTube video made me ace practice test

 

man screw that, hour long? heckin heck.

 

I believe it only limits uptravel. All the people breaking the front coilovers are breaking them on uptravel. Either way its not a good way of lifting a truck that goea off road. Mall crawler that never sees dirt go for it.

Oh and to answer your question about sprung mass supported by dampers i am uncertain in tacomas, but i would guess its very little. (Or hope it is at least)

 

You could be right about droop. Not 100% certain.

 

the mount points havent gotten farther from eachother. they have gotten slightly closer to eachother. the top spacer in effect just lowers the shock mount. the only way i see that you could limit droop would be putting in a much shorter stroke shock or raising the shock mount.

I am having a bit of trouble imagining how adding a spacer in-line with the coilover components between mounts would decrease the static distance. Which are we talking here?

In-coil?


Or Above coil?

the ones I had are in-coil.

 

Perhaps that is the root of my confusion.
