    well i dont see how it could limit droop.

    also i dont think the in coil spacers limit up travel. it just takes more pressure to achieve the same up travel. unless the coil is compressed all the way which i dont think happens in our trucks

Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
    I mean i guess the in between spacer works on a similar concept as the adjustable 5100's so its prolly not that terrible but i feel like 5100's are cheap and if your using stock springs they are money better spent than spacers

    I see what you are saying, as the static extension length will not change on an above coil spacer, as the whole assembly is just displaced downwards.

    But I think I see why now. When you lower the top mount of the shock, it extends its range of motion downward. When you have a rotating control arm that it's mounted to, you could cause a bending force in the shock because the geometry of the shock's travel is now changed, and not in line with the rotating axis of the control arm. Maybe.

    We need answers. Now.

    Leverage is why it breaks. Take a tooth pick and hold each end and see how easy it breaks, then put ur fingers close together and see how much more force is needed to breaks it. A top plate spacer is just lengthening your tooth pick

    But we're talking about reduced droop, not snapping like a toothpick.
