No good deed goes unpunished. Pulled a random stuck gen 3 Silverado on 20" wheels out of a bowl in the dunes at Pismo on Saturday. Dude runs over my strap in the process, wrapping it around once. Felt good about helping the guy (and a brief but intense lecture about wheels and tires more suited to sand), less good about the $82 it cost me to replace the strap.

Such a goddamn shit show, it's hard enough to find any info on what to do about it. And the scumbags are trying to profit off it too. Heads should roll, but I'm sure there will be zero accountability, and zero jailtime.
