Welcome. I work in plano of spring creek and dnt. You are correct 3rd gen autos are 3.9. Come to the meet and you'll be able to see a few dif sliders. I have mobtowns on mine.

I've lost skin to the LineX on my bumper, I can appreciate the struggle

 

Maybe spray bedliner will do the trick?

 

I used several coats of spray paint and it's not as slippery as I expected and is very resistant to scratching so far.
