    Hello folks!

Don't post much on here these days, but just to put the word out as some of you here were also former members of SONTT. You may already know, so apologies if this has already been posted previously else where.
Some of the core guys are relaunching SONTT under new management and name, as the admin of SONTT let it go belly up sadly, and you've probably already seen that the forum is long gone.

So keep your eyes open if you would be interested in re-joining and I'll get the info over this way once the new site is launched as Marc will be notifying me, along with a hand full of others regarding the kick off.

    Cheers!

Curious to know for those that have mods to their truck have any of you told your insurance?
Dan (jeep guy from minden trip) was telling me today since he was looking into combining all his insurance with his girl since they got engaged and when he was found out that in an accident you could actually be denied coverage if you have too many mods etc. Not even just for the truck for damages but also liability. Not entirely sure about how true that is, maybe a broker etc is just trying to scare him into spending more. But he was telling me how they told him, in an accident it might not be that bad if its just vehicle damage etc, but if someone died or was seriously injured, you could be left on the hook and not have it where your insurance covers you.

I emailed my broker about it and she said she's going to get back to me about it anyways just asking, is that the case with aviva (who I'm with). Basically just told her I will be putting a lift in, over the fall months. Wasn't so much curious about having it covered in which I know I can have it added for $5000 or $10k coverage but increases my premium and that would be to cover my mods in an accident. But I was more so curious about just having it noted on my insurance that I have suspension, or is there any concern like that with Aviva. She said she'll get back to me on it as she needs to talk to aviva but just curious if anyone here has heard anything like that.

I was told they would cover my mods. I just have to provide receipts. I told them I had rims and tires and stuff. See what they say. Haven't really said anything yet as I was worried about the same thing however the mods I have are all stock replacements.

State Farm. I have to call them. I had to put together a list of mods and receipts so they can charge me the extra per month to cover the modifications.

    That's the plan atleast.

Placed some faith in my grade 12 math skills and viola! Bought the tubes and flat sheets at a metal market -> found local shop to bend it for me (they F*cked up still), then welded it at a friends place.
Locally sourced, designed and produced! :)

P.S. @CanadaToy might be able to help you bend the tubes, not sure.

I told my broker my real concern is the liability still being covered and that in the event of something happening I still at least get book value of my truck, and I just eat the loss on the suspension.
Depending what it cost to add coverage that is.

I'm just under $200 a month so would rather keep it low.

Just for a little clarification; in the GRCA map booklet it says that any organized and/or advertised event of 10 or more people (not vehicles) requires the purchase of a permit.

I beleive that this would have to be done in advance.

I think we'll be close but within the "oops, I didn't realize..." excuse. My vote would be to confirm numbers and if we are close or slightly over 10 people we can just use separate forest entry points. There are at least 3 parking lot entries.

Otherwise @tacoma16 can persue the permit and we just split the cost.

Also we are really close to the town of Bewdley. It's on Rice Lake, just outside the East Forest. If the weather permits, they have a great patio and tasty wings by the water.

    Just saying.

... or crush my dreams and I'll pack a sandwich.

where are you coming in from?

Truthfully get whoever numbers you can. I have @tacoma16 and @NorilskSever, but have who evers you can that way if someone's late you can let us know and we can wait etc.

And if you're coming from the west there's a few of us west of it so we can all cruise up together.
I'll be getting on the 401 at the kingston road/port union on ramp just before pickering. so we can maybe all meet somewhere and cruise together?
