    Hello, Folks!

vF Tuner is starting to add more 2.7l support. It has been a long road. All of the folks that have been around since the OVT days know the pain of waiting.

I will keep this posted updated with info as it happens.

Here is the ECU ID List for the 2.7l 3rd Gens, as it stands:
    upload_2023-2-3_7-39-22.jpg

    The TSB is attached.

    Edit:

For the missing ECU IDs, vF Tuner is asking for the ECU Part Number associated with those. Thanks for the help, @Saeros !

vF Tuner is looking for info on 2016 - 2017 ATs with ECU IDs 04A23. If anybody has those ECU IDs, please ping here or support@ovtune.zendesk.com .

If any one has questions or has info to add, please let me know.

    Thanks!

Came over from the V6 thread. Anxious to see what awaits. I'd really just appreciate better drive-ability for us automatic guys.

I can't believe this tread hasn't gotten more of a response. But, those of us with the 2.7 are the minority for sure. Interested in what you come up with!

@OVTune - what are your main goals for the 4-cylinder tune? I'd like to see a more responsive/sensitive throttle pedal (input to output) and less shift hunting. Some lower end gains would be nice as well.

Thanks for your time. I'm sure if this shared a thread with the 2nd gen 4 cylinder guys it would get some attention. Maybe it can be moved to the 4-Cylinder section.

What needs fixed? This is already better than the V6. Although if you tuning for a turbo or SC that would be understood.

There's always room for improvement, especially when it comes to electronic throttle pedal response and shift hunt issues if you have the lovely automatic.

I'm a second gen 2.7 owner that would spend some money on this if the price was reasonable

I may also be interested in a tune if there are some gains to be had (no need for auto programming since I have a 5-speed).

I can tell the computer is holding the 2.7 back. This thing tuned would probably make the 3.5 look bad.

The Highlander with the 2.7 screams, the Tacoma 2.7 not so much.

Agreed. My wife's 2015 RAV4 AWD is quicker and more responsive than my 2013 Tacoma. :-/
