    I started this thread to help people keep track of any possible changes and keep it for possible future informational purposes (i.e. maps, annotated maps, surrounding trails, areas of possible interests, etc) and I will utilize the 2nd post accordingly with that information.

    The 1st post (this) will simply just have meet-up time, where, comms used, people attending, etc.

    I'm doing this to hopefully keep the clutter down. :notsure:

    Trail Run:
    Santiago Peak (Maple Springs Road to Main Divide... to the peak)

    When:
    16 Sept. 2017

    Where: (NOTE: this is the trailhead)
    Maple Springs Visitor Center
    31330 Silverado Canyon Rd.
    Silverado, CA 92676

    Meet-up time:
    meet-up time: 9am

    comms:
    CB = ch32
    HAM = tbd

    Attending trucks:

    Possible helpful maps and information... Hope this helps??? :notsure:

    NOTE:
    More pictures, maps, etc will be posted as it gathers...

    Broad overhead view of Santiago Peak and the surrounding area. For those not familiar, notice the 91fwy is just to the north and the 5fwy and 15fwy are west and east, respectively.

    Maple Springs Visitor Center (Trailhead - Start)
    MapleSpringsVisitorCenter_BroadOverheadView_p1.jpg

    Trailhead (Start) to Santiago Peak (Stop) - route taken with some map annotation
    NOTE: this route is 2wd friendly although there are some areas of loose dirt/rock and fairly good ground clearance, in my humble opinion, is recommended.

    The only one that "I" know of is "Indian Truck Trail". It literally ends/empties into a neighborhood, LOL!!! I wish I could be more helpful? I'll try to annotate a map for you.

    Here you go. I hope you are able to read the text??? It is definitely 2wd capable, at least when I went on my night solo run. The "dirt" was "hard packed" with lots of ruts in the road.
