Sounds like that clunking feeling when you'd decelerating to a stop when the vehicle isn't fully warmed up. Like it holds torque converter lockup until right there at 1500 and then BAM, lets go.

    Similar experiences on my end.

I reverted back to 1.01b on Sunday for some similar issues. For me, however I actually seemed to have lost engine braking in most cases and found myself having to ride brakes in traffic 10x more than I did with 1.01b. While the racing up to 5th/6th subsided after the revision (1.02b) it still felt like it was trying to pull too much load in low RPM range. To the extent I was afraid to lay on it merging onto the interstate b/c of the heavy feeling and decided to send some logs over and reflash back to 1.01b which I had zero issues with.

The engine braking for me was actually not an issue - in fact given a lot of my driving is either in city traffic or mountains, the engine braking was helpful and surprising in D vs. having to use S. With 1.02b power was there for sure but the smoothness I felt immediately after flash vanished within a few drive cycles and became progressively rough, very similar to how my truck ran before my CKP was replaced. Felt like a timing thing but Mat is investigating. Reflashed back to 1.01b (for me) was night/day, smoothness returned and has stayed 150 miles later. Luckily 1.01b was a good release, but hoping I will be able to take advantage of the improvements in .02 soon! :)

Another reason I wish it gone with an M/T. I used to love pushing in the clutch and coast for awhile.

I just took my normal route home. Which is an immediate turn onto a 65 mph highway then merge onto a 70 mph interstate. The truck shifted smoothly all the way to 6th and stayed there until I exited. Usually the truck hunts at 65 since the engine is warming up and stock tune is just stupid. Not today. Thanks1.02Butter.

Very bad on the actual fins of the pressure plate to just "hold" the clutch.

With Irma gone, and premium gas once again available, I was able to load the tune. Immediately impressed by the smooth idle, then I turned on the A/C and it was still better than before. Nice. Only had a chance to drive around 15 miles (stoplights are out all over the place), but it really runs nicely. Looking forward to driving a longer distance this weekend.

Do you think it's possible to make this less noticeable?

Negative, shifting into neutral while coating is in some states. Not depressing the clutch.

The only wear if the clutch is pushed in all the way is on the throwout bearing, not the pressure plate or disc. And let's face it, most people wear out the clutch faster than the throwout bearing.

You guys must be fun at parties

Well, one thing that's for certain - if you coast a lot (either clutch in or neutral) you're actually wasting fuel in some scenarios because no chance for DFCO.

Yep. I used to think that was beneficial. Idling = gas. Coasting in gear = no gas.

Since things are sorta quiet in here @OVTune, did you get a timing/volunteer for a M/T dyno run?

    Since we're asking @OVTune questions,
Do you have a scheduled delivery date for new dongles?

I would like to be tuned before my weekend drive:fingerscrossed:

I get great mpg using more coasting than DFCO, but there are definitely scenarios when I want to slowdown on flat ground or maintain speed on a decline where DFCO is the better choice.

Under coasting scenarios I use, DFCO would have slowed me down too much and I'd be using more gas than just idle consumption to keep going most of the distance I coasted.

Strictly talking manual transmission, I have no idea the struggles the automatic guys are having with DFCO logic, sounds frustrating.
