I'm already back down to Vancouver! I couldn't deal with the weather up there and forecasts said it was going to be the same. :(

Thanks I'll be back, but flying or cruising next time haha

I don't doubt it, but buying the ticket to LA had me sticking around the states too long.

Did my first climbing on rock today! One day before in the climbing gym. It's pretty fun! Just what I need, another hobby.

    :bananadance:

Scuffed the knees a little but it was fun! I think I'll be adding some more gear for that. It'll probably keep me around this area for a little longer and hope to get in a mountain bike day at some point.

Eh it was sketchy but no... Just sweat from those and the nasty heat.

I would've only flopped on the side, so wasn't worried about being injured, but it was close to rolling.

To give you some perspective now that you've been there. My (at the time) 66 year old grandpa bicycled from here in denver to the arctic circle camping the whole way. Only took him 62 days at that. Now at 85 years old or so he still rides and just rode to idaho and california over the last summer.

That's crazy... I've seen a lot of bikers along the way. But a hell of an accomplishment!

So I posted it earlier but didn't have service to find the curb weight.

My truck with full tanks and me is at 6320
    Curb weight is 5500
If I subtract me and the 20 gallons of fresh water, we're at 6000.

450 over stock weight isn't bad for all the shit I have on here. I gained a bit back by removing the interior.

    Maybe you! Haha

The top rope obviously made it much easier. A few areas i wouldn't have tried if I was leading. It'll be a minute before I am brave enough to try leading, but at least I'm being able to trust my feet which I wouldn't do if leading.

Glad to see you're getting out there, bud! Trust in the feet - especially on that sharp granite. You can turn crystals into a staircase with the right form.
