Bill, if you want info shoot me a message. Local to me, extremely high quality. Best yet, he stands behind them to a rare degree. Also a TW member with a history of successful GBs and very few complaints or issues. Has my guarantee, even!

Woke up a few minutes ago by flashing red lights. Turns out to be an ambulance at the house across the street. They just rolled out a stretcher with a sheet covering whoever is laying on it. The house belongs to a church in town. They do short term rentals to women that are victims of domestic violence. Someone's bad luck just got worse.
Have not seen police, so no foul play involved I'd assume.

I appreciate the offer! On hold for the short term....I spent almost double what I'd told the wife I was spending on the current round of mods....So no monies to play with for a while. If I happened onto something at or below "give away price", I'd find a way, but I don't want to irritate the inner beast in that person who sleeps next to me.

If you ever find yourself in downtown Louisville after 5 pm, and you want VERY good food, try Hammerheads on Swan Street. This place is incredible!

OK....All this work and all the investment would have been in vain if it didn't work. So. September 16th, Yesterday....The Tacoma got a chance to see what it can do with over $5000 worth of "stuff" added to the game.

It shined! First, the sliders. I laid on 'em 3 times. There would have been significant rocker panel damage. Instead...Just cruised on through the situation without a problem. Front and rear bumpers; Several times I went right on through spots where the stock bumpers would have dragged hard. Break-over angle so improved it was a different truck! One hidden plus is the 90 lbs net weight increase to the front end was just what the doctor ordered! The truck rides better and handles like a dream on and off road. The winch; This is the 4th winch I've owned. Just like the other 3, 95% of the use they see is winching other people out. Thing is, we might STILL be stuck on that hillside if it weren't for winches... Winching vehicles up a hill with the winch vehicle BEHIND the stuck truck is a challenge. Challenge accepted. Skids; I smacked 'em hard against the rocks on 4 different occasions. 2 times were sort of deliberate. I ran over rocks where I knew they were going to hit just to see how they worked. No damage...No issues...No doubts that the ALUMINUM skids were the right move. And...2/3rds of the 3-1/2 hour drive too Rush Offroad yesterday was in dense fog. The Baja Designs fog lights actually got to be used...for driving in fog! My opinion? Gotta figure out how to mount a set on my wife's car! They are awesome!

And 6 months later, I'm STILL glad I decided to go with the Cooper STT PRO's. Never stuck...Didn't have to be winched....and in general, went where I wanted to without any problems. We're a front locker away from having the truck I set out to build nearly 3 years ago when it showed up in the driveway!

Long story short, we're ready for Black Mountain at the end of October.

Todays challenge; Figure out why/how the spare tire is now hanging loose by a good inch or more. It stayed put since July of 2011....and then decided to drop on September 16, 2017.

Could it be related to dropping off ledges and slamming the tire into a rock? (Sounds like a reasonable excuse)
