been busy so havent played a ton, but i'm up to 252. loving the stomp-ee5 hunter boots. you double jump sooooooo high.

will probably do nightfall this week, but wont raid this week.

either way, loving destiny 2 so far!

 

290 with almost every single exotic available. I'm raid ready for tomorrow night

 

The grind to 280 is a bitch. After that you can install legendary mods which will help raise your light level. Finished the NF and clan quests also. So I leveled 10 levels today alone and the servers were down most of the day. If they weren't I'd probably be 295 minimum.

 

Got extremely lucky with the kinetic weapon mod as it's just a roll of the dice with RNG so I could put it on my favorite pulse rifle. Since the gunsmith isn't selling them this week it was a nice find.

 

Slowly grinding through it, but trying to enjoy the environment and story. Great environment designs and well-balanced gameplay in the story, not too hard and not too easy. I was getting frustrated last night, but I was playing a bit spazzy. Only 180 light so far, level 15, so a ways to go still.

 

I agree it's a great game. You know me all too well though and I usually burn through the content first to get (at least) one of my characters up to raid level since it drops today. Since the game dropped last week I've played 87 hrs on my WL and leveled a hunter for a bit. I'm willing to grind to get everything the game has to offer and so far I've got almost every exotic available for the WL and almost all the exotic weapons. I'll go back and enjoy the game and it's surroundings later when I level up another character. But grinding to get to as close to 300 is my goal today which shouldn't be a problem. Once you pass the hurdle of 265 -280 the hard part is over with leveling.

I only concentrated on one character so far. Since the raid drops today we are all high enough power level to at least enter it blind and see what it has to offer. My recommendations for leveling to 280 is look at EVERY blue that drops and see if it will infuse into a piece of legendary gear even though it might have a lower power level score. One thing to keep in mind is if your legendary gear has a legendary mod attached to it, it is actually a false level since it has a +5 mod so the item is "actually" 5 levels below what it shows. Be mindful of infusing a piece of gear since you will lose that +5 mod and actually lower your power level. So look at every blue that drops and see if you can infuse it before dismantling it. You might be surprised. Once you hit 280 your power level jumps dramatically since you can put legendary mods on every weapon / armor piece. Do the milestones when you get close to 280, have enough people in your clan so you can reap the rewards, and the most effective way after all of that is pop a medallion and farm public events. You'll be surprised how many exotics drop out of them especially if you can spark the heroic event.

 

how many legendary shards do you guys have? i only have 11. i havent been dismantling many low level legendaries cause there are a lot of them i like and will want to infuse later.
i sharded an exotic (dupe) and only got 5 legendary shards.

any guess how much xur exotics will cost?

up to 260 now.

side note - any one enjoy using grenade launchers? i find them lacking. i miss the old machine gun heavies.

 

222 legendary shards. No guess as how much Xur will sell shit for but honesty (and this is just my opinion) I wish they wouldn't have brought him back.

As far as grenade launchers go it depends on which one you have. If you have one that just holds one in the chamber junk it. I've got one that you can shoot multiple times and wait to detonate them which is pretty effective in PvP although a Rocket Launcher will do pretty good work also. I still enjoy sniping so that is what I usually bring in PvP.

One more recommendation is skip doing strikes. While strikes are fun, they are the least efficient way to level up due to the amount of time it takes to complete one. If you're lucky you might get one done in 10-15 mins with people that know what they are doing. If not it may take longer. The best way is just jump from planet to planet and do public events which only take about 5 mins each with a pretty good chance of dropping an exotic piece.

 

And yes.... I have issues lol

 

I thought about getting the Titan but since I never really play it all that much I didn't really care too much.

 

280 last night and it hasn't been hard, just strategic.

Notable weapons

Hawthornes Field Service Shotgun - full auto, 7 rounds in about 3 seconds. Will be nerfed for sure

Unnamed Midnight - explosive round scout and a laser beam

Persuader- explosive rapid fire sniper with 7 in the mag.
