I would keep an eye out and see what the next inventory list will look like for the upcoming shipment. You might find that what you want may not even be on this shipment. That being said, it doesn't hurt to set aside the money for the wheels regardless so that you can pull the trigger on a moments notice as some guys will sell their stuff after receiving them if something doesn't work out with the wheels. They don't last long on the market when that happens.

Got a random question...anyone wheel their rays at all? I plan to in the year that I get mine, just curious if Im completely nuts for getting them although I would be fine with random scrapes in time.

That's exactly how I got my Limited Edition Brushed Copper Ray 10s! Imagine someone changing their mind about those. But, I had to decide immediately to take a chance on a private internet sale. The safety nets were 1) PayPal purchase 2) TacomaWorld member 3) FedEX shipping

I felt like with all three of these things in place my money would be secure and the outcome would be positive. I was not wrong.

If I had known that I really want 17s instead of 16s I would of been in a few predicaments by now. Two opportunities gone because I thought I wanted 16s!

I have seen pics on here where the rings get scratched but not the insides.........either way, once you get the first one they are all relative after that. Got to be able to do the time if you're gonna do the crime.

I do some light wheeling with mine and the scrapes don't bother me at all. Just reminds me of fun times when I see them.

If I had chrome on my truck, I would def get these. Scs wheels are SICK, they should be the Tacoma standard!

Do these wheels need a certain type of lug nut like my procomp wheels?

SCS recommends extended thread M12x1.5 spline lugs. Here's where I got mine.

+1 on the extended thread lugs, the go into the holes on the wheels farther and grab more of the stud making for a more secure attachment.

Well there are great tire sizes in both 16" and 17" so unless you need somthing specific or want to run the Tundra disc brakes 16s are an equal in my mind. If you need more sidewall for wheeling and can't go with a larger diameter tire 16s are perfect. As long as it's an SCS Wheel it's a win.
