My aunt in Hollywood is fine, they just are without power. Not sure if they have it back on yet though

    Orlando/Kissimmee checking in!

Our city retention pond in the back yard is up about 4ft, little sticks, branches and trash all over the yard from god knows where. A lot of shingles flew off the roof, scratched up the cars and the Tacoma a little bit . but otherwise not much damage.

Never did loose power or internet. All my loved ones made it out okay, some lost power, one buddy in Titusville had his street turned into 2ft deep river but his house sits on a hill so he's okay and he said it's down to an inch or so already.

Lot's of streetlights and traffic lights out in my neighborhood, a couple trees down in the roads around the neighborhood. Some areas close by me are out of power. I am fortunate to share the grid with the firestation down the street.

The McDonalds is open, about a thousand people in line for the drive through.

Like come on, does nobody have storm supplies?

Over all very blessed. Hope you all made it out alright.

    Anyone need assistance?

Glad to see overall is well. Here in Tampa we are good. Just some downed limbs and one side of our fence. Going to check the roof today. Never lost power

All good in my neck of the woods here in Stuart mostly down branches and some up rooted trees.

I have no idea. I'm about to get out of bed and drive up to Jax. I'll go see my aunt tomorrow probably. Or at least go see my dad and find out what happened. So much to do in so little time.

Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
Well, our place in Holiday made it though really well. No damage other than a couple shingles. I cleanedup, took down the plywood, mowed and clean my garage. We help my Dad take down his shutters and clean up a ton of small limbs and branches from their big oaks. Got my in-laws secure and in a safe place with power to wait until their place is back up and running. Still no power here, but we're well equipt with a generator and fuel. Got the window shaker keeping the wife cool and the kids have substituted board games for video games.

    Stuff I learned so far.

I have a bunch of supplies in milk crates, but they need to be organized in to a day of nessesities in each one. That way if you have to evac you dont have to unload 5 different crates to have what you need. You grab one crate at a time from the Runner and we're good.

Fuel, I have 6 gallon cans for my boat. They're a pain to transfer to vehicles or the gen. Better fuel storage with a transfer pump will be added.

Guns, I have a ton to choose from. But a concel carry side arm and a basic AR with a light and iron sights is all that is needed.

Cash, had enough on hand but had a dude eyeballing it when I pulled out way to much to buy some ice. Limit what is carried into stores.

Local businesses. My Network of fishing stores, tackle shops and even the local pizza joint we go to all communicated out on facebook and I had no problem getting ice, fuel, beer or food. Even though we have plenty to survive on a hot pizza was wonderful last night.

A kind word and a thankyou to the folks working goes a million miles to help their moral. The kid directing traffic at the wawa that hadnt eaten in hours sure appreciated the granola bar i gave him.

I saw this event bring some many of us together. Not only from our offroading community, but family and friends and with strangers. It gives me hope for our great country, we are certainly not the people our media makes us out to be.

I hope everyone else is doing well and seeing the same things I am.

I have a ton of other thoughts. One of the main ones is getting a HAM radio or 3.

Anyone else interested in them too.

The test is easy and cheap. I looked into it a few years ago and studied to pass. I think the site was QRZ.COM. radios vary from cheap to sky's the limit.

Looking to head down to Key West tomorrow as long as they get the water turned on down there. Going to help my family with their houses on Big Coppitt Key.
