Thanks pal! This got me thinking.....might just do something up in autocad and bring it over to a local fab shop and see what it'll cost.

How high did you go with yours?

I like where this is going :)

Are you able to do aluminum? I'd like to keep this thing as light as possible.

Ok well I'll sort out my plan and price out materials vs having the shop do it all and go from there.

I'll keep ya posted - and I appreciate the offer!

P.S. I have our gas tank straps sitting in my garage. Hoping for an update on the skids this week.

So called the forest people today. We are good to go for saturday. We booked kinda of late so we are going to have to pay the $30 per vehicle plus the $12 per passenger. If we booked earlier we could have gotten a permit which would have been cheaper. Next time.

They will be open when we go at 9am so we should be able to pay by debit/credit. However I would bring cash just in case they are not there.
Yeah man no worries, keep me posted. Could do a mod day or something. Pumped for gas tank skid and new hardware!

I'm planning on running those trails. More curious than anything since I'm always around that area and never been to them. Plus I want to scout them out to see if they are stock friendly for the guys that want to do a run in the fall.

I found a jeep forum where some guys are discussing Ganaraka. It's all good but they caution that you have to be on the lookout for atvs, dirt bikes and especially horses. There are many blind hills and corners.

The proper etiquette is that you must pull to the side and cut the motor when crossing paths with horses.

Also, if you are on the thinner trails designated for smaller vehicles you will get an earful from these riders.

It's suppose to be an exceptional weekend so I assume it's gonna be busy.

I'm sure if we are all respectful of trails and the other enthusiasts we will be just fine and enjoy a great day.

When we arrive on Saturday morning it's probably worth the $5 investment for the trail map. Especially for those of you with passengers/navigators. This fold out map is not driver friendly.

    See you Saturday morning!
