I wouldn't want the short bed. Since I wanted the AC I didn't have to worry about the short bed.

I went with the DC short bed, I much prefer the look. I have several motorcycles and will just use a trailer to haul them around.

Long bed, esp with the DC, looks more proportional... I grew up with an 8' bed so even the 6' seems short!

The old lumber over the cab with the towel trick , works great , until the time it doesn't , I got a headache rack for this very reason ,

YOU WILL BE MISSED Satoshi Grill, FX-R retros, husky liners, bed bolt d-rings, TRD short throw shifter, 2.5 Fox Coil overs, AP UCA's, AP Expo rear leaf with Fox 2.0 shocks, Extended SS brake lines, AP kick-out sliders, 265/75/16 on Konig Countersteers, AllPro Apex front bumper and Zip Ties.
if you want a bigger bed, get a full size truck. The long beds are only long compared to a short bed. I think the longbed looks great on an access cab but not on a DC.

My f-250 short bed would be considered "long" by toyota standards.;)

So what you are saying is ," don't buy a tacoma unless it is a short bed " ?

A long Bed on DC and Standard Bed on a Access is more practical.

as far as looks short bed, esp with a dbl c. But, the long bed is pretty practical. for example setting up a bed back there.

    IMHO:
    Short bed = better looks
    Long bed = more utility

I bought the long bed so I could stick my bike back there (YZ250) and haul more crap, but the short beds look better to me. Oh well, it was a function of form decision for me ;)
