Thread for Flat and Matte painted Tacos!!

Have any of you painted your tacoma in flat or matte paint? If so, SHOW IT OFF! I wonder how many people in this forum have. I know there is one guy who rhinolined his whole truck...

 

Subscribed. I haven't, but I have been debating this here lately.

 

I Think I Have Seen One Truck One Here! I Would Love To Do That Years Down The Line When The Paint Fades! As Far As Rhino lining a truck that is stupied to much weight!

 

i actually seen pic of a taco last night not sure if it was on here but the whole truck was rhino lined. it looked absolutely retarded.

 

Yeah I have seen that one as well. It's only gonna get worse once it starts to fade too.

 

I think it looks awesome. I would never have the balls to do that though.

 

I saw a built matte blacked out taco on the freeway in CA a few months back... was the sickest looking one ever!

 

Seen a black gen 1 here in San Diego several times. It looks very cool.

 

Bump. My silver Taco is fading fast as it has spent it's life parked outside since 2007. Thinking of a silver matte paint-over.

Isn't that called primer gray?


Be bold! Put a color on there. Red, Navy blue, and hot pink would all look awesome in matte spray.

 

@Rock Lobster Lol. My Taco is Silver Mica; I would like the outside to match the door jams, bottom-side of hood, inside gas cap area, tailgate, etc... There is a green matte Dodge Ram truck in my neighborhood. Has dark spots but looks good.

Irrelevant, but I saw a matte black Tesla Y today. I guess it was wrapped.

 

I wrapped my 2011 with satin khaki green if that helps

 

I did a two tone , originally satin black over the OEM silver but 7 years later it is definitely flat black … lol. Much nicer on the eyes than a shiny hood. I
