What's it worth? What should I ask? I honestly just don't know where to start, I see prices all over the place and all I know is its not a $3k truck or a $15k truck, but I'm not sure where it does fall between those two figures. Help!

I put up a couple albums here on TW last night if you want to go thru the 40'ish photos.

I'm thinking about selling my Taco and then putting the money into my Land Cruiser instead. The LC already has lockers, 35's, and a backseat so it's probably going to see more mileage/use and I would hate to just see this Taco sit. It saddens me to sell it as I was building it/maintaining it with the intentions of keeping it forever, but you know how that goes.

I have fully detailed records (everything but fuel stops) from 92,000 to the 216,000 as it sits now.

    1996 Toyota Tacoma
    2.7L motor (3RZ-FE 4cyl)
    4x4 / manual locking hubs
    5 speed manual trans
    4.10 axle gears
Off-road Package (bucket seats, center console, & tachometer)
    Regular/Standard Cab w/6ft box
Cardinal Red Exterior / Oak Tan Interior
    216,000 miles

probably 5k is decent for it id say.

High miles(dispite it being a toyota)
    its 21 years old now
it is well maintained from your records.
    but paint is fading
its a single cab(not super desirable to a lot of people)
Adding mods don't really add value to the truck remember. But with as many as you've done, and they are mostly good choices, they add some value. But not a lot.

FWIW we bought a 95 just last summer with 150ish K on it for 3300 with manual everything on it. But was extended cab and a V6. Was is rougher shape then yours though.

Thats my opinion anyways. Personally im not sure id pay 5k for it anyways. probably offer 4 if i was buying

You could probably make $1k off of your bumpers sold separately if you have stock replacements and your price could still stay around $4500. I sold off parts on my 98 when I bought it. There was other stuff I wanted for the truck so I got rid of the same bumper as yours and a CBI swingout bumper similar to yours and made out w/ $1550.

$3500 would be a good bet. The aftermarket stuff adds little value, in fact it usually subtracts. Its just a standard cab truck.

I bought a 74 mini right hand drive for 14k after shipping to Hawaii. Sold it for 22k cause the guy had to have it.

Just like everyone else said, aftermarket parts usually don't add any value, and in some cases detract from the value depending on what the mod is. Unless you can find a unicorn that wants all the same parts as you put on, you are unlikely to find someone willing to pay a extra. If you can do better than what typical used Tacoma prices go for in your area you should be happy.

Some geographic areas seem to sell higher than others(higher than what KBB or other sites say they are worth), but those are typically also areas with a lot of off roading available, not sure if Jersey falls into that category.

    I'mma gived you 'bout tree-fiddy.:D

In all seriousness I would be asking 7-8k and accepting 5-6k as others have said aftermarket doesn't generally add to value.

If you can, take the big ticket items off, bumper lights winch etc sell independently and still get 5k for the truck.

I've seen a built first gen go for 10k not too long ago but it was exactly whay the buyer was looking for and available at the right time and the right place.

Market area is very dependent on price, a 4wd is worth a lot more in the snow and mountains than say Miami.

North east, New England, probably had a cancerously rusted frame.

it had a 4 year old new frame pics looked okay.. the truth is for 95% of people the mods dont do anything to add to the value, the other thing hurting you is its a reg cab which basically cuts out every single person with kids and also cuts out most people in general because they want some resemblance of a back seat. all you have to do is look at reg cab sales in the past 10 years to understand why toyota stopped offering them. I'm not trying to rain on your parade but with 200+ miles and a faded paint job on a reg cab if you get 3k+ I'd jump on it... toyotas hold their value yes but when you see the crazy prices for first gens its almost always double cabs and sometimes extended cabs..

Yikes, I should probably retake that photo or crop it huh?

It's a URAL sidecar motorcycle, 1963-1972. MV-750 and 2wd. It was restored years back. Powder coated frame and sidecar, paint, etc. Upgraded to 12v system.

It's a Hollywood bike and was used in a few WW2 period movies so it's done up in a German Army livery. Last road it about 3 years ago and now I'm about sick of working around it in the garage. Probably sell soon.

Interesting, I asssumed something of the like, my dad is a big WWII buff and I noticed the Eagle insignia, German army grey paint and the knobbys. I figured the number plate was a date reference. (1942-1947)

Out of context for the thread but I'd love to see more pictures. Got an idea on selling price?

I don't even know where to start on price on that one either....haha. I've seen two of them on the auction block in the last couple years one was $24k and one went for $30k (both were currently running but not in any better visual shape). This one hasn't been run in about 3 years now. We used it for a couple parades and some events in upstate NY before it took nap in my shop.
