Thanks man I appreciate it. Hopefully I can get this all resolved, money is not the issue, it just comes down to basic pride I guess. Toyota asks you shell out hard earn money, and to some the cost of these trucks is equivalent to a years salary. Then, not back them up, that really bugs me. If one of my customers spends multiple of millions of dollars with us, and we do not back it up. They get their money back...to me it is the same principle, stretched I know, but the hierarchical points still remain constant.

Hopefully I get to keep it, and hopefully I will see you around the forum! Have a good one!

edit: added words, I wasn't paying attention when typing...

Torn is how I've been describing my feelings on this truck since 300 miles in.

I want to love it, but I just can't. I don't even like it sometimes. It comes in waves. I steel myself against dumping it, but then I end up driving it on a road trip where I have to listen to it howl like a piece of shit for 3 hours...

It's so frustrating because it would be the perfect truck for me if Toyota didn't fucking goof up the basics. Wonky transmissions and howling drive trains, seriously??

I've been holding out hope for 2 years. Some TSBs have come out but they are few and far between. The biggest issues are remaining unaddressed.

I totally understand how you feel. I absolutely love everything else about this truck, love it, I mean wouldn't change a thing. Just the damn drive line stuff, that is I guess rather important stuff. Also to note, the truck drives great, it is just in these handful of scenarios, that unfortunately are integral parts of driving a vehicle; that they are demonstrated/exposed.

Life's too short for pride, unfortunately most don't figure that out until middle age! Have a good one too!
