Decided to go a slightly different direction on my tires. I ran the Cooper ST Maxx (265/75/R16) for a few weeks and they rode really-really nice. I actually ended up with no rubbing on stock suspension and left the mud flaps on...there was just a tiny clearance from the flaps at full turn.

The tires weigh in at 54lbs and noticeably affected the overall truck performance off the line and stopping...making it not fun to drive for me. The truck struggled for sure...maybe a non-issue for some, but a deal breaker for me. When I saw 15.6 mpg on my dash I just shook my head.

So....with all that said, I swapped out to the Cooper ATP all terrain in the same 265/75/R16 size, but not an E rate tire and weighed 40lbs. Less than a day and I'm back to normal start/stop, had 19.9 mpg on my dash, and enjoying driving it to the mall again. I may just find a pebble in the middle of the street today, run it over it and say I offroaded the beast.:D

Will paint the hubs when I find time...one of these days.

So I can't decide between the 16" f5 with 4.5 or 3.5 back space. Any insight as to which wheel would best fit on a 3rd gen with EMU suspension and 285 75/16?

What's the specs of the wheels and how much do they poke out past the fenders? Thanks!

We can't really recommend this size for a stock height truck, but just like anything in this world, you can make anything work. I would recommend you wait until you do you lift then you can run this aggressive wheel.

If you prefer some tire poking pass the fenders, go with 3.5" bs. Otherwise, if you prefer more of a flushed look then stick with 4.5" bs. This spec will be less prone to rubbing, but it might look as aggressive as you like. Just decide on the look that you're after and what you're willing to do to make everything clear.

I've got the 16" 4.5 0offset. With 285/75 KO2. They stick out maybe a half inch past my fender.

Jealous! My damn dust caps for the fronts went missing and the place hasn't called me back on the replacement status. They also scratched the center part on 2 wheels....MF'ckers...at least let me scatch my own shit up. :censored:

Vin at SCS sells just the center caps if they're in stock. I bought an extra just in case. PM him.

They are the F5 model so no caps. They now have just a tad bit more character lol. I won't go into my mid 40's rant about how any loser that can color outside the lines can get a job these days...that would just prove how old and out of touch with today's youth. :D

Oh duh, you said dust, not center. I hear ya, I'm 55 so I really have a problem most of the time. I'll get my walker, you get your cane and we'll discuss it over a bottle of Metamucil LOL.
