Found these Asics at our local sports store on sale. They are freaking COMFORTABLE. If I didn't drop $90 on them I'd wear them all the time and not just for the gym. They're probably cheaper now elsewhere.

Yea, Air Max's. They looked like this. I think they were called Nike Accelerate. They made 4 or five variants of them.

I inclined presses 165 yesterday 2 sets of 4 as my heavy set and moved down. Today I did 3x5 @225 and 2 reps 275 on skwats. I just wanted to brag a little. It felt good after not going to the gym for 3 days.

I've never heard of bug protein powder and other products til the other day... worldwide there are thousands of bugs people eat. I'm not going to buy any right away, just wondering if anyone has tried it, uses it, or likes it... one site claims higher protein than fish, poultry, beef, etc.

This is true of most insects, but it's by volume. 1 cricket is 70% protein where 1 cow is 30% protein. However, a cricket weighs .5 grams. 100 grams of crickets is 13 grams of protein. 1 cricket will have a less than .1 gram of protein, so you'd need to eat like 300+ crickets to get 30 grams of protein. This would be beneficial if you crushed them into a powder and used that as a protein powder because then you're not having to eat 300 crickets (the same amount of protein can be gotten from a 5 oz ribeye, but it comes with more fat). Cricket protein is 20 g protein per 38 grams of powder (52% protein per serving). ON whey is 24 g protein per 30 grams of powder (80% protein per serving), so whey is still better.

    TL;DR: whey is better

Felt good. Incline felt stronger than before. I'll have to keep up the dumbbell presses, looks too me like they've helped a bit. Skwats were strong, I didn't think I was going to be able to do 275 for 2 but I took my time between sets, get prepared mentally and made sure to go below parallel, pause, then back up. I know I have a better skwats than some peeps at the gym who only 1/4 skwat. Even better than some of the girls there. I'm not strong in skwats so I'm trying to do at least 2-3 times a week. I want to hit 315 for 3 by the end of the year. Slow and steady.

Also I might add, I did leg press and hammy curls and leg extensions too. I want to up the volume becuz strenf gainz. Calves are insanely sore too. Feels good to be sore. The gaiiiiinnnz

Got 340x1 on flat bench last night, but failed @ 345. My goal when I walked in the gym was 340, so I'm happy. New PR.

Just looked that up on Urban Dictionary :puke:
