    Best place I found was just under the left side coin tray/fuse box. I tried it on the steering column and it was too distracting. I tried it above the coin tray and my knee hit it. Just below the coin tray is perfect, I can see it through the steering wheel, it is not distracting and it is out of the way.

    BTW, scanguage helped me improve my driving habits, my mileage is now averaging 18.5 - 20 mpg. It will pay for itself in 4 months.

    As for your question - I have no clue to retipping but I am sure you could just buy an extension an Radio Shack.
