Hi out there, I just joined Let me start off by saying I'm not the friendliest person you will ever meet, something to remember when reading my post.

I like to share information, and knowledge about Tacomas, I'm a fan of other Toyota Trucks and cars as well, off road vehicles and everything automotive.

I have been checking this forum and other venues of info regarding modifying Tacomas for five years.

    The important stuff.

    I have a 2012 Tacoma Regular cab 2.7L, 4x4, 4spd auto.

I've seen the RC threads and will spend most of my time there, and the suspension threads.

My goal for now is to replace my 4 Bilstein 5100s stock rear leaf, stock front coils @ what I think was set @0.85. I have a slight front rake, and can see @ least one notch above the perch, the perch may block one of the notches.

I've read a lot of suspension threads and have most all questions answered.

Thinking of Icon 2.5 non-resi on the front standard travel with UCAs, I doubt if long travel would get me in trouble, and since I want to replace the UCAs with a non-uniball joint go with the LT and not utilize it's full range.

For the rear a Bilstein 5125, and the lower rated OME Dakar, Wheeler's 8 leaf pack, or a Alcan @ 2inch over oem +200lbs, adding a standard Pelfry Bilt rear bumper, and already have a toolbox around 100lbs.

I don't want to remove leaves, and am also considering going down to 1.75 inches on the Alcan.

I looked into the drive shaft issues, so I will see how that goes. It is what it Is. Also have steal 3 degree shims and will get extended brake lines, bump stops and what ever else as necessary.

Haven't offroaded yet, maybe some slow trails in the future, I'm goin to start with more than I need and go from there.

I'm on the east coast, weather and salt will be an issue taken into consideration, as I think any threaded coil over will corrode and seize, it is what it is.

That's all I can think of @ the moment. I have a few pictures of the truck @batacoma

I usually come here for the pics.
