Simple, I like it. How do you think the hammered finish would look/ hold up?

 

Couple coats of rustoleum self etching primer then a plain black. easy to patch up when they get scratched.

 

I'm sorry I misread you OP I thought you were saying your rocker panels for some reason not just sliders haha. you can get a whole kit of that raptor liner for less than $100 (in the products discussed in the thread down below) and it comes with a gun so all you need is an air compressor. I used 3 of the 4 bottles and got 3 coats in my bed and 2 coats on my rockers and flares. so you could use like 2 bottles and still get like 4 or 5 coats on the sliders I would think. I have also found that Valspar satin black is a pretty close spray paint match for touch ups, and will prolly be what I use to do my jams with when I line my whole truck

several vids on youtube, I think a lot of jeepers use it and do the whole tub with it. its super easy 2 part epoxy style; the liner bottles come 3/4 full and you finish filling them with the activator and shake for 2 minutes, then the gun screws directly on to the bottle. set your reg up at about 50-60 psi and go to town

 

ask @Batman413 about raptor liner. He covered hi entire 4Runner with it

well you have 2 sliders right? use one for one and the other for the other and see how they hold up and keep us updated (don't worry about them not matching because no one could see both of them at the same time anyway once they're installed)

 

Great idea. However that would drive me crazy knowing my truck was different on each side. Lol.

your truck almost looks black. bumper looks good man.

 

I've painted quite a few sets of sliders and bumpers out of my garage. Use an epoxy primer and satin hot rod black. I'd do them for $100. Need to finish painting my wheels, so that would give me an excuse to break the gun back out.
