Not really sure. The tread is slightly different, but I don't think it's much.

From what I understand the ATP is (essentially) an AT3 made exclusively for Discount Tire.

I just consider it a slightly modified AT3.

ATP is made specifically for Discount/American Tires. They're 99.5 percent the same. The guys at Cooper are pretty helpful. I called them 3 weeks ago when I was tire shopping.

literally just got a set of Cooper AT3 in an LT265/75R16 load range C on tuesday of this week. Damn good looking tires, QUITE, but agressive tread with quite a bit of siping. I preferred them over the ATP as 1, you can get them in the above size in a load range C, 2. smaller overall lugs (better for ice driving as there are more edges).

Too poor to list anything interesting.
ATP is the more aggressive AT look.

AT3 is the more conservative look

FWIW, I loved my ATPs. My fiancée is running them on her Jeep now.

Can't help you with the price - but which model tire carrier is that - looks awesome - do you like it?

If you do a lot of highway driving you might want to avoid the Authorities. They get kinda loud at highway speeds. Everything else about them is pretty good though. We have the AT2 on a 4Runner and it's a super quiet tire compared to the Authority.

@Unchained 5150 how many miles do you have on your St Maxxs? Ive been considering a set of these and everything ive read is that most folks are getting about 50k miles out of these.. i dig these and can hardly believe theyre an all terrain with how meaty they are!

Edit.. sorry i also have nothing to contribute..

I love my Falkens so far. They do well in the snow also. I have em in 265-70-17 and there about 130~ a tire. These are the AT3W which are winter rated.
