    We can keep Peter in the lead a since he'll have a navigator and keep our CB on. That way he can radio Eugene and myself and we can pull to the side. Others can just follow suit of you don't have a radio. Same thing we do on any other trails

    We'll take it slow and make sure not to do anything we aren't suppose to. Additionally, when I talked to them, they mentioned how they would ensure they told us where to go and not to go, which we will have to be extremely cautious of. Should be a great day, and we will have to be a bit more cautious compared to running the crown land trails which are practically empty half the time.

    Great idea. I'll have my CB as well and can run tail gunner to bring up the rear as it looks like we'll have quite a large group.

    SO, do you guys think I should remove the "chin strap" from my 2016 Sport.... If so, I'll pull the mud flaps also...!!

    Don't want to mess anything up..!! I've got portable CB and also FMRS radio... I doubt we need that crap as we'd be running in a group..? Yes,,?

    Never hurts to remove it. However I was extremely surprised how well @Joe23 mudflaps held up in minden. They took a beating.

    Bring the cb. Good to be in communication with everyone. Especially with horses and stuff. Good to know to turn off the engine and what not. Plus we can make fun of those without cb's. Lol

    fmrs will be useless since we don't have it.
    i think theres at least 3-4 of us with CB though.

    i doubt these trails are anywhre close to tough enough to need to remove the chinstrap.
    And should you break a mudflap, as long as its not the rear passenger side, I will gladly give you mine to replace. You can have the rear passenger if you want...but its already broken lol

    until we left and I finally broke the rear passenger.

    Given that was a much harder trail than where we are going I highly doubt there is any chance of them being damaged.

    What:
    some kind of trail scouting
    When:
    Ganaraka Forest Centre at 9am on Saturday.

    Where:
    10585 Cold Springs Camp Road
    Campbellcroft, On L0A 1B0

    How to get there:
    You can get to it be exiting Hwy 115 at RR9 (Kirby) and go east the Cold Springs Camp Rd

    Or...

    Exit the 401 at Newtonville Rd and go north to RR9 turn right and left at Cold Springs Camp Rd

    Make sure you have exact change as if there are no attendants on duty they have a payment/receipt drop box. It's $30 for the driver and $12 for passenger.

    Who:
    1. @Taco-Can
    2. @tacoma16 +passenger
    3. @Joe23
    4. @Theicemedic +passenger
    5. @over60 +passenger
    6. @Bocsy44
    7. @NorilskSever
    8. Maybe @Joe23 friend
    9. @TeecoTaco +passenger
    10. @NeonHeights

    Also I was thinking of checking out these trails which are super close to the Ganaraka forest.
    -Boundary road
    -Hogs back
    -Wild turkey road

    Some are meeting off of the 401 and convoying up to the forest. Let us know if you are doing this so we can wait for you.

    People Convoying up
    @tacoma16
    @Joe23
    @Theicemedic
    @NorilskSever

    meeting here at 8:10am on the saturday

    https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/''/M...fecb23f02c8ca6!2m2!1d-78.9362141!2d43.8672935

    google maps says its a 40 min drive from the mcdonald's to the Ganaskara forest. So if we meet there at 8:10am (very latest) it at the mcdonalds it will give us 10 mins of wiggle room. There is gas stations on the way to the forest off of the 115 if i remember correctly but we can gas up there worst case.

    I have called and left a message as we are 9, so I will book a permit or what not. I will let you guys know price prior to doing anything, but assuming its $30 per vehicle what would be the max per person? $35? $40? Im thinking it should be cheaper but who knows with these conservation people.

    I think Hoggsback will be the only trail that anyone without armour will need to be cautious. The rest are all rated as 2wd trails and just rock and gravel. So you're safe.

    Any challenges we come across if anyone wants to try them that doesn't have armour etc, just don't be too brave and go wild. There will be plenty of us there, we can stop and spot to make sure everything is ok. Plus I'm sure some of us, myself for sure will be going for most challenges haha.

    And if the ground is too soft all we'll need to do is air down a bit. But I highly doubt these trails will be like that.

    And anyone with the chin strap or flaps still on, if you get concerned not sure for others but by all means anyone need to remove stuff or something I always have tools in the truck so just let me know.

    And I'll likely have all my gear now, not just treds. sounds more and more likely I'm going to end up in Minden on sunday :D

    Biggest thing for everyone is to just know that there is no pressure to be a hero. Do what your comfortable with and if some of us need to turn around, no worries. We have all been there. I have atleast. I don't care if I have to back track with someone. I'm just happy to not be working and be on a trail.

    No one be shy about asking for spots if they want to try a challenge etc, I think when we ran Minden I was bugging @tacoma16 for a spot on almost every obstacle haha.

    And anyone that wants to air down etc can gladly borrow my ARB deflator, and I will gladly air anyone back up
