So very excited to see what you have in store! A basic flash in my BRZ made such a huge difference in the way that car drove, hoping the 2.7 has more to offer

The Rav's have 2.5L Engine (2AR-FE) 176hp o_O not sure the difference between the 2.7L.

With the current emission BS and the proven reliability of that engine, I wouldn't be surprised if it replaces the 2.7L mid generation.

Toyota has had the opportunity to replace the 2TR for years. I think if they do replace it, it won't be until the 4th generation.

My biggest thing is as an auto my truck seems to shift at just the wrong times. I've learned to give it more gas a certain points so it dosnt prematurely shift and I lose the momentum I had.

    Which part o_O

I was in a friends Highlander 2.7 with 7 people cursing up altimont pass with the AC on going 80mph. My Tacoma wouldn't come close to that.

As far as comparing to the 3.5, it's numbers aren't that impressive to quantify the 6k price over an SR 2.7L

I'm hoping it's like Dodge restricting the 5.7 Hemi in the Challenger/ Charger because their times were to close to the 6.1 SRT's

In that case it could be the gearing.

Wait, I thought the 2.7 in the Highlander is different from the 2TR in the Tacoma, am I wrong? Wouldnt those changes account for differences that one might see out on the road? Not to mention transmission and diff differences like 5 Lug Fury mentioned?

    Oh man you're right it's a 1AR-FE

I hope I don't get in trouble for this.

Gf has a rav with the 2ar-fe. It is peppy. I cringe every time I start it though. That engine is known for a nasty start up noise. Not the one they had a tsb for but the regular cold start. I have heard it is reliable though, we shall see.

Interested... big question. Is it LCE header safe and won't run rich or lean with it? Can there be a map with the lce header? @OVTune

The header should be just fine with it.

This guy/company is the shit! So much potential for these 4 bangers. If I can get full potential from my header/exhaust and future intake mods, I think it'll be perfect. I'll be installing LCE's heavy flywheel and clutch (might as well since I'll be in there) which I think will make a huge difference for 4lo and maintaining speed up hill.
