Bike dudes. If you’re splitting lanes slow the hell down. I’m sure the driver was distracted as well but paired with the speed he passed me as I was stopped, there wasn’t even enough time.

I've talked to a number of people about splitting lanes. Me personally? I don't split like that. Why? Let's say a driver actually looks over his/her shoulder for a clear spot to change lanes. By the time you look back and start your turn into the new lane, what was behind you doing 30 over your speed is something you never saw.

My opinion is you shouldn't split at more than 10mph over the traffic speed and you shouldn't split when traffic is moving more than about 35mph.

    But that's only my opinion.

I see this shit all day. I have nothing against splitting lanes, but too many assholes go haulin ass when traffic is stopped or damn close.
Dumb AF if ya ask me.

3 of 5 guys who work/worked for me have had accidents where the driver did not see them. None were splitting but I think it gives you an idea how difficult it is to see a motorcycle and how hard it is to judge when the speed differential is high.

Oh, and you would think riding a black and white bike with party lights would make a difference. It doesn't.

Yea they do lol. I was rear ended by a hit and run driver due to not being an ass hole and splitting on a single lane road. Took it to mainly track riding after the accident and then gave it up all together to fund other hobbies

Yeah, I kissed the rear quarter panel of a purple dodge neon that pulled out in front of me on the way to work. Bike stayed, and I went over and slid to a stop. Ouch

Finally did something to partially hide the accessory wiring mess that used to run on the outside of the center console. 1" hole saw to the center cubby.
