I'm going to be honest that the bull bar makes the front end look weak. Trucks awesome but bull bar provides zero protection and is a damage multiplier. Only benefit is for light attachments and that could be achieved with internal grill supports or ditch lights for alot cheaper.

Go with a friend, or take some sand recovery stuff. A fair amount of beaches around the gulf don't always require 4X4. Check conditions before traveling.

I just read that in Southern California there are no beaches you can legally drive on. Up north there may be a few pockets but I never go up there. Guess I can say I feel a little better. :p

Not ENTIRELY true. I know that you can drive on the beach at Fiesta Island in Mission Bay. I do it all the time, as that is where I walk my dog. HOWEVER you can't just start hauling ass down the sand as it's far too crowded.

Up north Pismo beach is super popular for beach driving. People get crazy out there though so be careful. The good news is if you get stuck there will always be someone there to pull you out. It's kind of like a mosh pit for 4x4s.

Are those SR5 rims OP? Why didn't you just paint your stock OR wheels and keep the smaller rim set up?
