Worth it, as opposed to laying on your back and side under the dash cutting and soldering wires.

    Exactly. LoL

Plus if I wanted to Dyno it's a matter of pulling it off or clipping it back on.

It has been about 4k miles since we last checked fluid in my rear diff. Went in this morning to do a spill and fill to see if any metals were present in the fluid. This is all because after the diff rebuild the exact same noise was present as lead us to rebuilding it the first go around.

Lots of metal was found in the diff fluid. So. My local shop is ordering an entire new assembled 3rd member from ECGS with 4.56 gears and an ARB air locker. They've decided not to continue messing with it and are going to start from scratch.

Wow. What a mess. Hope they do it right this time. I'm thinking of getting mine done this fall.

The idea here is ECGS will build it. My shop will just drop it in. That's how we started except there was an issue with the locker leaking... Which meant pulling it out... which meant rebuilding. That's when the issues began.

Thus my shop is covering costs.

So I emailed Gadget @ URD last night. Asked him for an update on the MAF Calibrator I ordered on August 16th. He still doesn't have the connectors he needs (from his supplier) to build my MAF Calibrator. He estimates it'll be another 1 - 2 weeks before my order ships.

Got word my new ECGS 3rd Member will arrive on Wednesday, Sept 20th. Install is scheduled for Friday, Sept 22nd.

Let's hope this new one is silent...

EDIT: Oh. Still no word from URD on shipping my MAF calibrator.

Fingers crossed. Is URD always such a pain in the ass?

Not sure. My second purchase from them. First one was for an O2 Simulator that doesn't work because I have a 2015. Oh wait. I also bought long tube headers with that simulator. Those seem to work. But I had to buy a resonator...

Still no word from Gadget about shipping. Emailed him a couple days ago. His reply, "The good news is our shipment of connectors finally arrived and we can press forward with the production." That was it. From time of order I'm passed a month now. Took them this long just to get the connectors they need to make my MAF calibrator. I ordered on 8/16!

In other news. My new ECGS 3rd Member gets installed tomorrow morning while I'm at work. Really hoping I can have a silent (healthy) differential again.

Bought some 3/8" Eyebolts today to anchor into my Ruff Tough dog kennel. $1.49 each instead of $25 + shipping that Ruff Tough wants for their anchor/tie down kit. A couple ratchet tie downs and now the dog's kennel will be secure for Moab.

    Reposting.

Gadget is terrible for 50% of his customers. Wouldn't. Also anyone calling himself Gadget is a legit twatwaffle.

Truck is about done. Asked the shop to find a clunk in front end. Just called and said my OME shocks are shot. They are calling ARB to inquire about warranty. Bought them July 2015. Think they got installed in August 2015. So they lasted 2 years.... or less.

I wish an upgrade was in the budget right now...

How many off road adventures would you say have happened in that time? Whatever the number is they should last longer than 2 ish years, but I'm curious.

I wasn't impressed with my OMEs.

When mine were due for replacement I was either upgrading to coilovers or replacing them with 5100s for half the price and the same performance (without the clunk).

I dunno. One Moab trip. Dozen trips on mountain roads for camping, sight seeing, wheeling trips. 90% of my miles area commuting. Truck has 34k total miles. I think OME went on at about 8k?
