    It comes down to personal preference. Rubber for 16's is cheaper.

    I was thinking of going 17s and rock 285/70-17 but that might cause a lot of rubbing? Not too sure what size wheels to get.

    Yes, If staying in No. County, then Crossings at Carlsbad or Encinitas Ranch. Very nice courses and not too much. TP is a PIA to get a tee time.

    Don't worry about rubbing, you want bigger tires. You can cure rubbing by cutting and trimming. Either 16" or 17" will be a good choice. 17" if you want to upgrade to 4runner brakes down the road. 16" if you want to save a little $$$

    Things and Stuff.
    I'm running that tire size, I've noticed very little rubbing. but thats due to the CMC. Its mostly when i turn into driveways a little fast do I rub. Will be having some more trimming done to help out.
