Love the spots! And yeah the bro bar glare is real. Working on a solution to help deal with mine. I also want to get spots back behind my grill though, want best of both worlds. I can't believe how fast RT is approaching. Really looking forward to meeting you dude!

Hell yes! I'm getting more and more stoked every day!

I've been making a concerted effort to get out of work at a reasonable time, and it's helped a ton.

Got my CB and antenna mount installed last night!

Still need to tune the antenna and mount my external speaker, but I'm close to finally having comms!

That's actually the weather cover for the NMO mount. That way I can remove the CB antenna when I'm not wheeling. I can also use it for a HAM radio antenna down the road if I want. The NMO mount makes stuff pretty versatile.

Clean antenna mount man. Also cb in the ash tray is a staple of first gen life.

It's from CBI. Basically the same thing as their ditch light brackets.

    http://www.cbioffroadfab.com/products/1st-gen-toyota-tacoma-products/1st-gen-tacoma-antenna-mount/

Since I never intended to run ditch lights, and since I've heard guys have gotten good tunes in that location, I went that route. If I wanted to run ditch lights, though, I'd much rather go with something like the Rago Fab brackets that mount to the hood. Much easier install, I would think.

I did modify it to accept the NMO connector, FYI.

It isn't a black '64 Impala, but I'll still be hittin' switches...

Looking forward to slowly getting these actually functional. First up are my driving lights and then the front locker (finally).

    So I've heard...
Locker switches are going in the clock location, the driving light switch will live next to the clutch start cancel button, and the winch switches will be where the rear diff switch was. Seat heater switches will be in the lower center console slots in front of the shifters.
RTT is coming off the rack today, and my buddy and I are chopping the rack this weekend!
    :headbang:

I'm gonna weld some light bar tabs to the rack for mounting the tent. That way the under side of the bars won't have the exhaust clamps and hardware sticking down into the limited space that I'll have.

Pulled the RTT today so that I can chop my bed rack. Gonna drop it about 8" to pull my CG back down. And also to get @Blackdawg to quit giving me shit about my sky high RTT

    :p

    IMG_4834.jpg

I'm also going a slightly different direction with storage, since I'm losing some decent volume with the rack chop. I was never too crazy EAF, but this will be a good opportunity to pare down some shit and get better organized. I'll still be all about that comfort, though!
